Teaching children the basics of our faith and stories from the bible is important. The Sunday School (known as "Sunday Plus") meets during the morning service, generally going out after the second hymn. We cater for around 20 children from the age of 3 in age group classes. The older group, known as CK1, use computers as part of their learning about Christianity.

A crèche is held during the morning service each Sunday and is for babies and toddlers who are looked after by experienced helpers. Here the children can have a real fun time with the extensive collection of toys and games.

The young people of Barn Hill have been contributing towards Junior Mission for All for many years now. Although JMA is a project run by the young people, it gives everyone in the church a practical way in which they can help others less fortunate in many parts of the world. Whether it is help for earthquake victims in Turkey, building a clinic in Ghana or working in a hospice for people with AIDS in India - JMA is there to provide a helping hand.

This is a relaxed, informal gathering for all ages of pre-school children and babies. Mums (and dads and grand parents) can have a cup of coffee and a chat while the kids just have a good time with each other and a host of toys.

We meet on Wednesday mornings at 10.15 until about 11.45; there is a modest charge of 50p per family per visit to cover refreshments and toy renewal.

Saturday Gang is a junior youth club for children aged 5-12 and meets in the church halls on Saturday mornings fortnightly during term time from 10.30 am to 12.00. We offer a varied programme of fun filled activities including arts, crafts, cooking, games and outings. The charge of 50p per session covers refreshments and activities.

The 1st Stamford Company of the Girls' Brigade meets on Tuesdays, 6.00 pm - 7.15 pm. Any school-age girl is welcome to join for games and activities. Each summer we go away camping for a week of fun under canvas.

The Girls' Brigade is an international, interdenominational Christian organisation.

The JCBoys Club meets on Tuesdays, 6.00 pm - 7.15 pm. It operates in conjunction with the Girls' Brigade. Boys of school age are welcome to come for fun, games, craft and fellowship.
